WEESSProject Description

At the Esbjerg site, two Bodensee energy storage systems with a capacity of 232 kWh each have been installed. The systems are deployed in an industrial facility and primarily serve to optimize self-consumption and manage load profiles.

The application includes the following key functions:

Self-consumption optimization:

Surplus PV energy is stored temporarily and used later within the facility instead of being fed into the grid.

Peak shaving:

By discharging the batteries during peak demand periods, load peaks are reduced and grid costs are optimized.

Load shifting:

Energy is stored during periods of low demand or lower electricity prices and used when demand is higher.

Through this setup, the customer achieves improved energy efficiency, reduced electricity costs, and enhanced utilization of the existing PV system.
